Pest control and habitat restoration on Bluff Hill

With all the dedicated predator control on Bluff Hill/Motupohue, this enabled the reintroduction of the South Island robin in 2017, with successful breeding in the following summer.

South Port NZ team put in two days of mahi in to gorse cleared area above Lagan St, planting 2,000 natives.

The planting of natives in this area will help suppress gorse regrowth.
